  1. This archive contains version 1.02 of the FreeNet TCP/IP stack, which
  2. consists of two applications - !FreeNet which holds the actual software,
  3. and !FreeUser which holds the configuration files.

  5. For the benefit of those of you wanting to use the SLIP driver that is
  6. included I have included new versions of the Internal and InternalPC
  7. blockdrivers in the archive. These have had a bug fixed, and you will
  8. need to use these if you want to use SLIP via the internal serial port.
  9. The next revision of the blockdrivers should include this fix as
  10. standard, but until then you'll need to use these ones.

  12. To get started, I would suggest you read !FreeNet.Docs.Setup and follow
  13. the instructions contained in that document. It is probably also worth
  14. reading !FreeNet.Docs.Resolver which describes how to configure the DNS
  15. resolver.

  17. The configuration files included in the supplied !FreeUser are the ones
  18. I use to connect to Demon, so other Demon customers should just be able
  19. to replace my IP address and hostname with their own.

  21. One last thing - if you have a problem, please read the FAQs file in
  22. this directory before asking me about it. If you still have problems,
  23. please do let me know.
